【ローマ共同】
日本政府は、宮崎県内で拡大している口蹄疫封じ込めのため、
国連食糧農業機関（ＦＡＯ）が派遣を提案した口蹄疫専門家チームの受け入れを断った。
在ローマ日本大使館を通じて ２１日までに、 ローマのＦＡＯ本部に伝えた。
日本側は「ワクチン使用などの対策を行っている最中で現在は受け入れを考えていない」
とした上で「今後もＦＡＯから適切な助言を得たい」と答えたという。
ＦＡＯのファン・ルブロス首席獣医官は、世界の口蹄疫封じ込めの経験と知識を持つＦＡＯが、
助言や勧告のため日本に専門家チームを派遣する用意があるとの提案をしていた。
